The Dahlstrom Patented Sheet Lifter has filler the void that has long existed for handling sheet steel or plate stock. The Patented Tongrip Lifter is SAFE, FAST,and EFFICIENT producing a controlled tonglike grip action. The lifter jaws move in a straight line always following the same path and applying a controlled grip against the load that is always 20% of the load itself, from the narrowest up to the widest bundles. This patented action also makes it easier for the operator to guide the carrying legs into confined spaces and aisles. Fast action drive, whether manually or motorized will open or close lifter in but a few seconds.
Compare this Patented Tongrip action to other type lifters which provide little or no grip on narrow bundles and excessive squeeze on wide ones, which may damage the edges of the material. Also other lifter jaws swing in a wide arc, descending steeply to engage wide loads, yet moving almost horizontally onto narrow ones, making it difficult for the operator to guide the carrying members into confined spaces under the load.
